Female Dark Judy (Abisara fylla, Riodinidae)

The Judies have become my favorite butterflies to photograph. They are almost fearless once they have grown accustomed to your presence and strike strutting Jaggeresque poses and even appear to change position to present better angles and profiles. This of course is simply my translation of their territorial behavior…..
